A ten minute drive in the opposite direction would take you into an even larger Town of Alcala la Real, another Moorish Town with supermarkets/restaurants/banks/hospitals and again a large Moorish castle. The village is also located near the San Juan River surrounded by nature, pine trees and olive groves.
Granada City and its airport can be reached in around 50 minutes and Malaga and the airport in approx one hour 40 minutes.
